What can I say. These guys have been saving me money on maintaining my car since they open. I started going to them for convenience because my office was walking distance. Now I go for the service and car maintenance know how. My office has move to far to walk and they offer a car service to and from that makes it easy to get all the things done I need.Yes I have to spend some money on my car to make sure that it keeps running but it is better then being stuck on the side of the road. I would recommend them to any to take care of their car as they have helped to allow me to keep my car running for over 150000 miles and 10 years. Thanks guys!!!

I want to commend Mark and his team for another wonderful experience with Duxler Northbrook. In a recent snowstorm, my car skidded and slammed into a curb, causing much damage to the right front wheel assembly and associated steering mechanism and mechanicals. I had my car towed to Duxler - called Mark to let him know and they were ready for my car. His team worked with my insurance company and everything went so smoothly! The repair was completed quickly and impeccably. His team of seasoned professionals took care of the vehicle, and kept me posted on status as well. After picking up the car, I noticed it was pulling a little, and they took the car back for inspection with no questions asked. The problem was due to the newness of the tires (not their work) and they remedied the issue. The staff at the front desk are welcoming and all is neat anc clean in the waiting room.I highly recommend Mark and his team at Duxler.

I've been to Duxler a few times now. First for my old '99 Sunfire that needed a new battery and alternator. Now I have a nice new car and two days after buying it the brakes didn't work on a cold morning. I took it to the dealer and they said there must be water on the brakes. Awesome, how does that happen? So I take it to Duxler for a second look (because I TRUST Mark and his crew) and they tell me that the dealer had washed my engine and it got moisture in the brake booster causing my brakes to freeze up. I felt good having an actual cause for my problem and was assured it wouldn't happen again unless I got my engine cleaned again (which I would never have done in the first place...) On top of it they told me the dealer put new back tires on but that they should have rotated them since it's winter and you want your best tires in the front. Once again they one-upped my dealer. Thank you for all your kindness, the comfortable lobby, your courtesy car service, and personable demeanor. I will continue to come here and recommend Duxler to my friends!

I have brought my car into Duxler many times over the years for repairs. They have always been 25 to 30% cheaper than the dealer (when I have gotten additional estimates) and they do a great job. I have also brought my car in a number of times for minor things like headlight replacement and checking on a warning light that went on in my car; and they have serviced these items - right away, for no charge. They are the best.

Brad B., thank you very much for posting this wonderful feedback and trusting your car to Duxler!

Went in with a flat tire on my BMW and found that at 30,000 miles, I really needed a new set. I'd figured on that, and I'd done some research on replacements. Danny helped me at Duxler, and offered two options. One of them was the top rated tire from my research, at a good price. Special kudos must go to Danny. They were out of loaner cars so he lent me his own, personal car to use while they installed my new tires. That's service. My only complaint is that they didn't clean off the brake dust from the wheels while they had them off, so it looked messy. But when I mentioned it, Danny personally went out with a cloth and took care of it. This is my second good experience with Duxler, and I'll be back again.

So I just had my very first visit to Duxler. I'm very leery of auto shops so I'm still reserving some judgement but from what I saw it seemed to be an okay place. I had my oil changed and it wasn't very busy when I stopped by, but it is a new location for them. I was impressed by the cleanliness inside and the waiting area accommodations. They had no less than 12 different NEW magazines for my perusal, as well as a working TV and a sign boasting free wifi with the login info. It really makes me wonder why other places only leave one ratty Car and Driver mag from 5 months ago when a decent supply would only cost $100 per year. The kids section was also well stocked with a big rug, train table and set, books, tikes car and several other play sets. They also offered juices, sodas and chips for the kids for free. It made me wish I had brought my son. My oil change took less than 20 minutes which is the quickest I've ever experienced, though for the first time ever I wouldn't have minded staying longer. It's in an area that actually has a lot of business so you could walk across the street and browse 15 different stores if you wanted to. So I'll continue giving them business until they give me a reason not to.

I live in Portland, Or. and my 22 year old daughter (whom still considers herself a dependent!) lives in Bucktown and works in Northbrook. She broke down on the Edens and of course the first thing she does is call me in Oregon! She was on her second day of a new job so I was panicked that she would end up REALLY being dependent if I didn't get the car fixed quick and get her to work. I got on google to find a shop close to her work to tow the car so she could get to work fast as possible. I knew this was a gamble......choosing an auto mechanic just by location but I am happy to say I got lucky and was completely happy with the service I received from Matt and the crew at Duxler. He took a lot of time to explain it all and get the job done right. I'm glad we have a place we can count on because with this car...96 Passat....we will be back! P.S. I do NOT recommend Passats!

Family-friendly auto shop with quick service & insightful mechanics. Love the kids' train track set and the baby cars. In addition to my own service I saw people getting work, in-and-out on lunch breaks.Cool place if you need help around Lake/Cook Rd.
