I am going to them a 4, as cynical as I am. Auto repair shops have the worst consumer reputation out there, and the industry absolutely deserves it. The only other business consistently worse, is the used car business. Duxler, this store at least, as always given me the straight story. They always do what they say they are going to do, and they always try to give me the best value, with their coupons or not. That is not to say that they do not try to upsell, because they do, but they do not lie cheat or steal. Their store is professional and clean, and the waiting area comfortable. There is always coffee and pop. We have them work on the whole stable of cars.

Excellent experience. My Honda CRV was making a chattering noise between 40 and 60 miles per hour. I was thinking that it may have been a loose heat shield or a transmission problem. I bet some shops would have charged me for a trans service , fluid change or worse a major trans service. However, Duxler quickly diagnoses the problem as a loose part in the wheel well. They re affixed the loose part while I waited about 20 minutes. Duxler did not charge me for the repair or the diagnosis!!!!

They go above and beyond with their service. I have been going here for years and every time I take my car in, even if for a basic service, they check everything and do as much as they can. I took my car in for an oil change and they even buffed out a big scuff on my car for no charge. With so many shady car places out there, I always feel good going here.

Super convenient & good service. Clean waiting area with wifi & TV (loud though). Seem pretty competitive on maintenance & repairs too.

Great customer service! They are open on Saturdays until noon. Saturday morning I figured out my tire had a slow leak. Called Duxler and they told me to come on in without an appointment. I showed up quarter till noon...total jerk move since tire repair takes 30 mins. These guys were super kind, quickly took my car in the back and figured out the cause of the leak and will stay late on a Saturday of Labor Day weekend to fix my tire. Fantastic! More businesses new to take cue from Duxler. Also, their waiting area is clean, well stocked with reading materials, water, free pop/juice and sweets. Great toy area for kids.

Straight forward excellence: make an appointment, pick up a loaner, return later that day, drive a FIXED car. Used Duxler for years, used to go to Skokie, now Northbrook. Great friendly staff, expert mechanics, clean bathroom, Wi-fi, lousy coffee (just kidding). You can use them with confidence as Duxler takes their work seriously. Very pleased, you will be satisfied also.

What can I say. These guys have been saving me money on maintaining my car since they open. I started going to them for convenience because my office was walking distance. Now I go for the service and car maintenance know how. My office has move to far to walk and they offer a car service to and from that makes it easy to get all the things done I need.Yes I have to spend some money on my car to make sure that it keeps running but it is better then being stuck on the side of the road. I would recommend them to any to take care of their car as they have helped to allow me to keep my car running for over 150000 miles and 10 years. Thanks guys!!!

I want to commend Mark and his team for another wonderful experience with Duxler Northbrook.In a recent snowstorm, my car skidded and slammed into a curb, causing much damage to the right front wheel assembly and associated steering mechanism and mechanicals. I had my car towed to Duxler - called Mark to let him know and they were ready for my car. His team worked with my insurance company and everything went so smoothly! The repair was completed quickly and impeccably. His team of seasoned professionals took care of the vehicle, and kept me posted on status as well. After picking up the car, I noticed it was pulling a little, and they took the car back for inspection with no questions asked. The problem was due to the newness of the tires (not their work) and they remedied the issue. The staff at the front desk are welcoming and all is neat anc clean in the waiting room.I highly recommend Mark and his team at Duxler.

I've been to Duxler a few times now. First for my old '99 Sunfire that needed a new battery and alternator. Now I have a nice new car and two days after buying it the brakes didn't work on a cold morning. I took it to the dealer and they said there must be water on the brakes. Awesome, how does that happen? So I take it to Duxler for a second look (because I TRUST Mark and his crew) and they tell me that the dealer had washed my engine and it got moisture in the brake booster causing my brakes to freeze up. I felt good having an actual cause for my problem and was assured it wouldn't happen again unless I got my engine cleaned again (which I would never have done in the first place...) On top of it they told me the dealer put new back tires on but that they should have rotated them since it's winter and you want your best tires in the front. Once again they one-upped my dealer. Thank you for all your kindness, the comfortable lobby, your courtesy car service, and personable demeanor. I will continue to come here and recommend Duxler to my friends!
